Holistic Doula
About me

My Story

Shalom, my name is ChayilYah Segulah, which means Capable Woman of God and His Hidden Treasure. My doula journey began nearly a decade ago when one of my sisters needed support during her birth. She was entering motherhood without a village—without an advocate—and I knew in that moment that I had to stand in the gap. I studied tirelessly, helping her find her voice, face her fears, and navigate the unknown. That sacred experience lit a fire within me—to become a strong pillar for other women on their unique birth journeys.

Over the years, I witnessed how much attention is given to the newborn, while the mother’s heart, mind, and body are often overlooked. This realization shaped my mission and deepened my passion for postpartum care. This is the season when the mother needs her village the most—a time to exhale, to bond, and to begin the journey of healing on every level: physical, emotional, and spiritual.

As a certified Herbalist and Holistic Health Practitioner, I believe in nurturing the whole woman—from pregnancy to postpartum. My goal is to create a peaceful, loving, and sacred space for you, your partner, and your baby. Whether through natural remedies, emotional support, or spiritual guidance, I am here to walk with you, advocate for you, and help you birth in power and peace.
Let’s reclaim the beauty of birth, together. 🌿
My Philosophy

Sisterhood~ Village~ Shalom (Peace) This is my philosophy! Birth is ordained and designed to be a normal, natural process that your body was perfectly and wonderfully made to experience. My desire as your birth sister is to support you in a way that allows and encourages you to achieve your goals and desires for birth.

As a Holistic Doula, my role is three fold. Those three areas are: Prenatal, during Birth and Postpartum. I will do what is necessary to help you make informed decisions throughout your pregnancy and birth. We are also here to support you mentally & emotionally throughout your pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum journey. I will also help walk you through life and labor as well as walk with you through whatever comes your way during this journey.

Prenatal Visits: I will meet with you before birth to talk and demonstrate birthing positions. I will help dealing with pain relief. (massages, oils that can be used, etc.)We will even discuss creating the atmosphere. (what it looks like? Who will be there? Dislikes? Likes?)
I will also be on call/text for any questions I haven’t covered or information/ questions you need answered.
In the event where only virtual support is requested or required then I will remain present with you by phone/text or video. My peaceful and calming presence will be felt and will hopefully give you the security that I am here for you and your partner.
Please feel free to contact me in the months, weeks, and days leading up to your birth. I will personally set up check in days incase your shy!
Labor: When labor begins please do not hesitate to contact me even if its just for me to stop by to help you get back to sleep with a massage, aromatherapy or gentle words. I'm available to you! Remember, it’s great to have a doula present with you when things start to get more challenging, serving as an emotional, educational, and physical support person.

Postpartum: This is a sacred time between mom and baby and everyone connected to her! During postpartum I will be helping with breastfeeding/lactation, holistic healing techniques/herbs/baths teas/steams/wrapping and healing information. I will follow up/help with transitioning, light housework and organizing ( all of this will be planned out before postpartum period begins). Healing foods is also given to help mom healing during her 1st 40 days! Emotional support during this time is VERY important. I call it the great release because truth is we carry our labors around with us in our ‘back pockets’ for the rest of our lives. It is important to be able to talk through the birth memory. I am more then just your doula. I'm your village you never knew you needed!

My fees for doula services vary depending on the package you choose. There is a deposit to secure your birth month and the remainder can be spread out into a payment plan prior to your baby’s birth. I feel strongly about not limiting someone’s ability to hire a doula based on financial restraints, so I'm happy to talk with you personally about spreading payments out into a plan that works for you.
